New Year New Venue

ALEX GRAHAM captured the overwhelming turnout of bikes and riders for the Northwest Section’s first event of the new year.

The Northwest Section held its first event of the year at a new venue.

It was held in a huge marquee at the rear of the Junction pub in Rainford, St Helens. It was a cold and dry January day but that didn’t keep the crowds away, and the turnout of bikes and riders was overwhelming. We filled the marquee and outside I counted 46 bikes, but even that is not an accurate number as people were coming and going all day long.

A big thank you to Rob Reynolds, Chairman of Rainford Parish Council, who kindly awarded the prizes. Also a very big thank you to all the people who brought bikes for display. We were supported by friends from our neighbouring Sections from Blackpool, East Lancs, Central Lancs, Manchester, High Peak, Cheshire Cats, Cheshire and North

Wales. Hot drinks and snacks were available along with ample parking. We hope to make this an annual event, and to use this venue for future events – watch this space!
