N/W Roadrunner Projects No.2

N/W Roadrunner Projects No.2 Sunbeam Owners Club North Wales run I am a member of the Marston Sunbeam club and my mate Paul Knight had arranged a lovely run in North Wales for the club. It was October and we had got over the heavy rains that had caused all the flooding over the UK and the weather was a dry pleasant day and an opportunity to get out on the bikes in a lovely part of the world with lovely riding roads along with the scenery. I persuaded my…

N/W Roadrunner Projects

N/W Roadrunner Projects The latest train of thought is why not do a monthly newsletter on our website just to keep up to date with members projects.  I have been busy building my special from parts I’ve accumulated over the past 20+ years. It is a rigid framed BSA B31 with girder forks overbored to 400cc with hot cams, piston and flowed head. So it should be a bit of a goer, and here it is in all it’s glory. Still work in progress though. It’s a little honey.…

I’ve just got back from the midweek meet organised by Adrian Such of Central Lancs Section. This is just an informal meeting of the local Sections for a chat and a cuppa and  catch up with friends. I’m still not driving/riding yet due to my recent stroke, but I’m fortunate in the help that I get from my friends who kindly have been driving me to these events. My driver today was my friend of over 50 years Gordon Williams. We met up with Keith wood another N/W Section member…

Beryl & John Melling talk on the County of Shropshire The Barons Burscough

Monday 27th January we were entertained with a talk and a slideshow from John Melling on the county of Shropshire and what a great night it turned out to be. Apart from John’s informative and entertaining talk we had a full room with over 50 members in attendance. Followed by our usual buffet. It was lovely to see more wives and ladies in attendance in what always seems to be male dominated. A lot of our ladies are hardy and enthusiastic  motorcyclists with many miles under their belts. We are…

Junction Bike Show 12th January 2020

I’ve been out of action for a couple of months with a health problem but I wasn’t too concerned because we have a great team of doers at the N/W and Jeff and his guys from Blackpool had made an early…
