Designed in the UK, the first collapsible trailer models were manufactured in 2005 by an engineering company.  Known as Bikelug, it became an instant success, but when existing work commitments became too much for the company the trailer aspect of the business was sold in 2007 and the name changed to Motolug.

At this stage the trailer range was redesigned from the ground upwards and has developed over the years into the current range of trailers all of which have EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval.  Popular with classic bike owners and track day enthusiasts alike there is a Motolug trailer to suit the majority of bikes.

Most bikes suit the SE single trailer which has a carrying capacity of 350kg's, however for the larger, heavier bikes the HDE trailer with a wider axle and longer front beam ensures that these bikes are catered for with a carrying capacity of 450kg's.  Motolug also manufacture a twin trailer which due to the modular design can either be configured as a single trailer or as a twin trailer depending on your requirements making it a very versatile trailer.

Each trailer has a unique hitch assembly which allows you to tilt the main beam of the trailer towards the ground for loading and so eliminates the need for an additional ramp.  The loading system located at the front of the trailer clamps the front wheel of your bike in place during the loading phase so that your bike remains upright leaving you hands free to strap your bike down - it is features like these that makes the Motolug trailers so popular.

In addition all of the Motolug trailers are quick to assemble without the need for tools and dismantle easily for storage.  Perfect for those who require a motorcycle trailer but don't want a fixed one taking up valuable garage or outdoor space.  Further information is available on our website or give the Motolug team a call on 01789 459 234 to discuss your requirements.
